Breaking news is that Angeline Jolie and Brad Pitt have split up finally.
The details have not all been announced yet, but the pair have already begun what could be a bitter struggle for custody of their children, although Angelina is said to have made the first pre-emptive strike to gain that custody ahead of Brad.
The news of the breakup as Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Split has filtered around the world already as news stories and celebrity gossip is rife amongst the media hounds.
The couple, who have been an item since their very public affair on the set of Mrs And Mrs, which caused the break-up of Brad Pitt marriage to Jennifer Aniston, have been a solid item until recently. Hollywood's most charismatic and best loved couple, it seems are to be no more!
Let's see how this pans out in the long run for the couple, as there will be a lot of toing and froing of lawyers communications as there is a lot of money to be taken into consideration on both sides of this failed partnership.

Phil Spector Murdered Lana Clarkson
The murder trial of Phil Spector has finally come to an end. It has resulted in the jury reaching a guilty verdict for the second degree murder of actress Lana Clarkson, which occurred in 2003. He is to be sentenced on 29th May 2009.
Phil Spector is expected to be sentenced to anywhere from 18 years to life imprisonment for the crime of which he is now convicted. But even should he be given the minimum sentence, chance are he'll die of old age while in jail. Ok, it'll be a burden for the taxpayer, but it will serve to mean that justice has been done.
So now to the details of actual crime itself, for those of you who may not already know.
We know from what the court was told that on 3rd February 2003, Phil Spector had been drinking in a bar when he met Lana Clarkson and they got to talking. They also continued drinking together and later on, bith ended up back at Spector's rather eccentric castle style mansion, which is in the Los Angeles suburb of Alhambra .
At Spectors home, they are alleged to have continued drinking and at some point Spector made sexual advances towards Clarkson. Unfortunately, those advances were spuned, whereupon Spector produced a gun. In a fit of temper and anger, he shot her in the mouth.
In an attempt to cover his tracks, Phil Spector made an attempt at cleaning up the crime scene and later told police that she had committed suicide. He said this was broght about by her being depressed at poor state of her acting career.
It may come as no surprise that the jury in the case were not impressed by this fabrication and convicted the defendant of murder in the second degree. A lesser charge of discharging a firearm similarly brought a guilty verdict.
So now, the former musical guru and creator of countless popular music artists awaits his fate, which is that of possibly spending the rest of his life behind bars.

Reese Witherspoon Shows Us Her Great Legs
Well, following the last post on AI8, we have decided to turn our attention onto some intriguing celebrity gossip here in this story: Reese Witherspoon shows off her nice legs with the appearance of the delightful actress in a very comely outfit!

The story goes that Reese Witherspoon came out of her sexy-hiatus on March 24th when she attended the much publicized movie premier of Monsters vs. Aliens. Reese has recently been seen grunging out in casual sweats and hang-out clothes while she takes her life at an easy pace and spends some time out of the fast lane. Anyways, for this prestigious media event she decided to put on what can only be described as a rather becoming dress and allowed her gorgeously sexy legs do all the talking for her.
Incidentally, we noticed that there was no sign of Jake at the premier.

American Idol Semi Finals
Time simply flies by when you're not really taking all that much notice and already my last post American Idol 8 Approaches, is a long way back and the American Idol Season 8 show is already into the semi finals stage.
But that's ok, I guess as there is really plenty of stuff going on in front of the camera as well as behind the scenes to keep even the most gossip addicted person happy for hours! So what have we to report that hasn't already been reported in every blog and news site by every on the ball reporter and his dog? Well, noting much I believe!
But what is newsworthy and I may as well repeat it here just for the record is that the last 36 contestants were decided last week and were divided into three groups of twelve. Each group will then battle it our amongst itself to provide us with the final 12 contestants.
So far the first group was aired this Tuesday and the first three guaranteed places were filled by three very talented youngsters by the names of Alexis Grace, Danny Gokey and Michael Sarver who all gave fantastic performances that certainly gave the judges enough ammunition to recommend them go forward into the last 12. Of course the audience had a say in that as well, let's not forget!
So next week it will be the turn of group two and three more guaranteed places will be filled by three more highly talented contestants for us viewer's entertainment. So that's where we stand right now and I'll be reporting on the progress of the show in a future post right here. So please do come again!

American Idol 8 Approaches
Hi there! Ok, I haven't been all that active in this blog just lately, with my last post Sarah Palin Wins Over Women from Obama, a few months ago, but I think that may change now as the premier TV talent contest, American Idol 8 approaches!
This is just what I needed to give me the impetus to write something on the celebrity side of things right here in celebrity gossip, where I can cover the show and grab some interesting facts and figures relating to AI8 and bring them to my readers, when they realize that I'm back here in the writing seat once again!
At the moment, nothing too much is happening on that front with the countrywide auditions being held all across the US right now. But with American Idol 8 as with previous incarnations of the popular show, there's sure to be some scandalous ripplings appearing from time to time that will certainly worth reporting on right here. There will be some interesting news and gossip to find in amongst this little lot, I can tell you.
So stay tuned for some good old fashioned talent show celebrity gossip to get spilled in these pages here on the not so humble Celebrity Gossip blog!
